PAY RATE : $70,000-$90,000 per year with benefits ( dependent on experience )
WORK HOURS : Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
LOCATION: In Office – Lakewood or Fort Collins, Colorado
Job Description :
Forte Dynamics is a consulting and engineering firm that specializes in mineral resource and reserve estimation, mine planning, blasting analysis, metallurgy, process design, recovery modeling, basic and detailed engineering, and construction management services.
We are seeking someone with a geotechnical engineering, geologic engineering, or geology background and an interest in mining and large geotechnical designs. This person will work under the supervision of our senior engineers and geologists. Work focus will be on general engineering development and enhancement projects.

Responsibilities: Participate in geotechnical site investigations and prepare investigation reports.
Manage, interpret, and report geologic and geotechnical data.
Provide assistance in engineering analyses and calculations including, seepage, slope stability, deformation, and settlement.
Provide assistance with hydraulic and hydrology calculations storm based surface water flows, channel sizing, and pond sizing.
Provide on-site construction quality assurance/quality control for heap leach facilities, embankments, ponds and other large geotechnical structures.
Assist in the preparation of proposals, bid documents and capital cost estimates, construction drawings and design reports.
Work closely with other disciplines (civil, geochemical, structural, mining engineering) on multi-discipline projects.
Perform and review design calculations.
Review and prepare project specifications & drawings.
Assist in preparation of proposals for engineering services.
Review and prepare reports, technical memorandums, and presentations
Support projects planning and management.
Assist in procurement of equipment, supplies, and contracts.
Ensure projects are designed and constructed with safety being the highest priority.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications : Bachelor of Science in geotechnical engineering, geologic engineering, or geology
Course work in structural geology, rock mechanics, and/or soils mechanics is preferred
Engineer-in-Training or Geologist-in-Training certification is preferred
Willingness to work towards professional licensing
1-5 years of relevant experience
Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required
An active passport preferred
Knowledge in mineral processing operations and construction is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication
MS Office, especially Excel
Ability work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Document control, ability to manage and archive project files properly
Dependability and strong work ethic
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
