Regional Business Development Consultant

We are looking for a full-time Business Development Consultant to take on ownership of a portfolio of clients in the Americas for Pamoja. If you have a passion for education and have the proven ability to own client relationships and drive highly consultative business development opportunities, we would like to hear from you. This position is a combination of new sales and account management, which is critical for the growth of our business. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing sales. A successful candidate will be self-driven, able to focus on their priorities while working cooperatively with others to ensure excellent client service. We seek personable and professional Business Development Consultants who are willing to be creative and think outside of the box while still aligning their work with broader team and company goals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.

Directly responsible for achieving budgeted sales from Pamoja products within the territory.

Set and track your region's sales account targets, aligned with company OKR’s with a focus on school districts and school groups.

Develop positive relationships with clients and act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.

Undertake a consultative customer needs analysis identifying the buying motivation for adopting the Pamoja Online Courses as an integral part of the schools curriculum offering.

Generate new business utilising existing and potential customer networks.

Managing the end-to-end sales process to achieve Pamoja’s high growth strategy and goals for new sales, cross-sell/upsell, and expansion of accounts. Including sales outreach, qualification calls and product demonstrations, and all other relevant activities through to close.

Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.

Support Finance with chasing up unpaid invoices for your school accounts.

Providing weekly goals/forecasts and reports as required.

Report on the status of accounts - track and monitor the health of customer accounts through regular health checks/pulse checks.

Communicate professionally, effectively and knowledgeable internally and externally, at all levels both in person, and on the phone/video call.

Represent Faria/Pamoja at worldwide IB conferences.

Ensure that customers receive the highest level of consistent customer service; displaying a positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude at all times and manage customer issues appropriately.

Coordinate with the School Services/Admissions teams to ensure a smooth client transition at the point of registration.

Work individually and as part of a team, creating and maintaining positive relationships within each targeted school.

Work closely with the Faria AM’s/Sales team to share customer information and support lead generation across products for both Faria and Pamoja.

Contribute to team professional development.

Work closely with Marketing, School Services and Academics to support and share relative business intelligence and market trends.

Requirements

3+ years prior sales or account management experience in EdTech or SaaS.

Strong written and oral English communication skills with careful attention to detail and a natural flair for building effective relationships.

Interest in EdTech and desire to make life better for students and schools.

School admissions/administration/technology experience is a bonus.

A passionate, competitive attitude, & ambition to achieve.

Demonstrated self-learning.

A team player is essential, with exceptional influencing and communication skills and a flexible approach to thrive in a dynamic fast evolving environment.

A candidate who understands having conversation at different levels of the education sector and adapting their skills and knowledge to varying needs.
