What We Are Looking For:
GZA is seeking a team oriented Senior GIS Consultant/Technical Specialist who will provide strategic leadership focused on marketing Esri ArcGIS Technology to internal and external clients. This team member will be a part of the GIS Leadership Team to help develop community and GIS Standards across the organization. GZA’s goal is to leverage GIS to creatively solve problems, manage GIS data, conduct analysis, and produce maps and mapping web applications in support of projects. Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently and in a project team with demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, presentations, analytical skills, professional judgment, and team building skills. This position requires 8 to 10 years of experience with Esri ArcGIS Technologies and can sit in any of our GZA office locations.
What You Will Be Doing:
Join an enthusiastic team in leading GZA’s GIS Practice Area’s as a Marketing and Client facing lead
Work with client leads to develop dynamic marketing strategies to leverage GIS on projects
Develop internal and external marketing materials for leveraging GIS
Collaborate to drive the planning and scoping of GIS initiatives, GIS projects, and GIS team processes and roadmap
Design, develop, maintain, and support custom web mapping applications for clients, both internal and external
Provide oversight on map production including developing standards and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiencies
Work with the team to leverage most appropriate technologies, including staying up to date on GIS industry standards, tools, and Esri technology releases
Contribute to internal ArcGIS platform user support and engagement
Support interoperability between GIS, AutoCAD, EQuIS and other specialized software / data services
Perform other duties and special requests, as assigned by Management
What You Will Be Brining: Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or another related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience using and administrating Esri’s ArcGIS technology suite
High proficiency in communication, technical writing/documentation, oral, and cartographically – the ability to convey spatial information to non-GIS user
Proficiency in Esri’s ArcGIS platforms
Experience authoring, updating, and managing web services, web maps and mapping applications using ArcGIS Enterprise and Online
Data management experience
Experience supporting a GIS Users Community
Experience in a consulting environment

Must have initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to work efficiently and effectively alone and with a team
High degree of professionalism and conduct at all times

Microsoft Office Suite (including SharePoint and Teams) advanced proficiency required
Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic, environment
Skill Preferences: Experience administrating ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
GISP Certification
Programing language fluency (such as Python, JSON, JavaScript)
Experience with mobile GIS/GPS tools including Survey123, ArcGIS Field Maps, QuickCapture, Trimble GNSS GPS (R1/R2, DA2)
Experience scripting and automating
Understanding of the AutoCAD data model
