Position Title: Executive Director, Information Technology
Reports to: VP, Engineering & Operations
Overview of Position
Taysha is seeking an experienced technology leader to join our Engineering and Operations team as Executive Director, Information Technology. This person will report to the VP of Engineering and Operations and be responsible for leading the Information Technology team at Taysha Gene Therapies.

Essential Duties Collaborate with functional stakeholders to develop, maintain, and update a compliant technology and systems roadmap to meet the strategic and operational needs of the company.
Assess and align services and solutions with corporate and departmental objectives.
Lead design, development, delivery and day-to-day operation of enterprise information systems and applications. Ensure solutions are secure, stable, and scalable to meet the dynamic, evolving business needs of the organization.
Deliver a reporting framework with standard and timely leadership updates regarding performance of IT services, provider SLAs and cybersecurity measures.
Lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture. Provide performance metrics, goals, feedback, and talent development opportunities to ensure a strong IT team.
Develop and optimize IT business processes and procedures that deliver timely and accurate cybersecurity, incident response, change management, and end-user satisfaction.
Implement industry best practices and standards.
Ensure IT project management processes including project prioritization, resource allocation, budget tracking and variance analysis are tracked and reported.
Experience & Education Requirements Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
15+ years of progressive IT experience with minimum 10 years in Biotechnology or Pharma industry preferred.
Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and audit requirements specific to IT, including GMP, GDPR, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and SEC cybersecurity.
Proven technical and operational expertise across all areas of the IT function.
Knowledge of industry best practices and standards for data handling and security
Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially with respect to articulating highly technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to appropriately influence and negotiate IT priorities and activities within the context of the company’s overall business strategy.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, their impact and potential application in cybersecurity, IT service management, and data handling.
Ability to flex and adjust in a dynamic and rapidly changing business environment.
Approximately 15% travel required.
Experience with delivery of SaaS applications supporting de-centralized Cell and Gene Therapy clinical trials preferred.
Base compensation range at time of posting: $180,000 - $270,000
The actual base salary depends, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience.
