Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. ​​Within Azure Data, the business intelligence team builds and maintains Power BI which is the undisputed leader in BI tool in the industry today and serves as the bridge between data professionals & Office users. ​​We are looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to help us revolutionize data interaction through natural language and AI. You’ll collaborate with talented individuals to enhance Copilot and build experiences connecting users seamlessly to data insights.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates in various roles to plan and execute on key deliverables.

Implement user experience (UX) designs, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user interface.

Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and rollout.

Continuously learn and contribute to a reliable and innovate product by focusing on quality through actively reviewing code, identifying issues, and promptly fixing bugs.​

Qualifications

Required /Minimum Qualifications:

​​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

​​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

Experience with React or Angular​

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
