It’s a highly responsible and independent role for an SEO expert with the talent to run the show on your own. This is a fully-remote contract opportunity with the potential to go full-time permanent.

This well-funded company is growing a nationwide network of locations, and they’re depending on digital marketing and a highly optimized website to build their customer base. That’s where you come in: as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Consultant, you’ll bring technical expertise and a customer-centric focus to the job of maximizing their site’s visibility in the search engines.
This is a highly hands-on role: you’ll be the sole person doing SEO, and you’ll be expected to have the initiative and expertise to see what needs doing and to do it without direction from above. Job Number One for you will be managing the transition of SEO away from the company’s current agency and into your own capable hands. You’ll evaluate the site’s analytics and architecture and spot both quick wins and long-term opportunities for search performance improvement. You’ll own the roadmap for enhancements to SEO, work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation, and take a data-driven approach to measuring the success of your efforts.

How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You come with at least four years of experience in SEO and organic search under your belt, with a definite technical bent to your expertise: you’re familiar with site architecture and backend analysis, and ideally have worked on site migrations. You’ve worked with Drupal sites and know your way around it and other CMSs thoroughly. You can point to numerous examples of effective collaboration with site developers, and you know how to speak their language (or even better, you were a dev yourself before you came to SEO). You’re proficient with Screaming Frog, Schema.org, and Google Search Console. You know how to select appropriate KPIs, then optimize to them successfully.
