Title: Data Scientist
Location: Portland, OR
Duration: 2 year contract
General Job Duties:
Use predictive modeling, machine learning, and other advanced analysis to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, prospect targeting and other business outcomes.
Actively work with internal and external customers to analyze business data needs, gather and document business and data architecture requirements
Develop data science pipelines with scalable endpoints and full orchestration/automation
Develop data and model pipelines with tools like AzureML SDK, Azure Data factory, Databricks, Spark or related technologies
Create automated anomaly detection systems and monitor its performance and model drift
Ensure highest levels of data accessibility, security, and quality at all stages
Develop rapid prototype proof of concept solutions for viability studies
Implement model performance analysis monitoring and automate model retraining
Analyze large amounts of data to discover trends and patterns
Effectively communicate complex ideas, results to both technical and business/executive audiences
Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear and concise format
Work within an Agile team in a dynamic, fast-moving, collaborative environment
Keep current on latest data science technologies and products, including hands on evaluations and in-depth research
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience) Bachelor's degree with focus in Technical or design field (Computer Science, Software Design, Data Science) from an accredited college/university and +6 years of related experience OR applicable Master's degree +2 years of experience
Experience with numerous machine learning/deep learning models such as neural networks, classifiers, anomaly detection
Experience with Natural language processing
Experience with methods of business validation of ML models
Experience with statistical modeling and methods
Experience developing end-to-end model prediction pipelines on live data
Experience deploying and managing large cloud compute workloads for optimal speed and cost efficiency
Experience with columnar databases such as Azure Data Explorer or related technologies
Experience with Spark and related technologies
Experience on major cloud analytics platforms AWS, Google or Azure (Azure preferred)
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Programing knowledge in Python or R with experience in EDA, data wrangling and model development
You thrive in high-profile projects and in ambiguous situations
Exceptional collaboration and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Desired Qualifications and Skills: Master's degree or higher in related field
Experience with Databricks or Jupitor
Experience with large data sets and distributed computing a plus
GitHub or similar collaborative dev hub a plus
Experience in automotive or trucking
Required Skills : 6 years of data science experience, or 2 years with a Masters degree, experience w/ Natural language processing, Neural networks, classifiers, anomaly detection, experience developing end to end model prediction pipelines on live data, deploy/manage large cloud compute workloads for optimal speed & cost efficiency, programming knowledge in python or R w/ experience in EDA, data wrangling and model development
