Customer Service Representative

CP Direct, Inc. is a privately-owned company that supplies superior direct mail printing services to a wide variety of national direct mailers. Our products include continuous forms up to 10 colors (rolls, fanfold, and cut sheet) as well as letters, replies, inserts, brochures, envelopes, newsletters, and cards. Our plant operates both web and sheet-fed presses and offers full-service pre-press and bindery capabilities in our 24-hour facility, located in Lanham, MD.
We are seeking a skilled problem solver who excels in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent planning and organization skills, a high attention to detail, and a strong commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction. Previous experience as a customer service representative at a printing facility is required, with experience in the direct mail field being a plus.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work directly with customers to receive new projects and place them into the production cycle.
Input detailed job specifications into print management system (PRESIDIO) and ensure current plant capacity meets customer scheduling expectations.
Inform customers of any differences between PO specifications and estimated pricing and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
Review and distribute customer proofs and communicate required timeframes for approval to maintain schedule requirements.
Proactively communicate specification and scheduling changes during production, including additional costs, to both customers and internal production staff.
Work with outside vendors to ensure components arrive on time.
Attend and participate in daily production meetings, provide relevant and current updates to attendees.
Ensure customers have a positive experience and inform management of feedback when received.
Provide competent backup for other members of customer service as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to manage complex projects within a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
Proficient computer skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Outlook
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and systems.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of Project Management/CSR experience in a printing company.
