Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our Process Services and Construction Management team in Peachtree City, GA. This role is ideal for those who are technically proficient and have a strong background in construction management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving project success through effective on-site coordination, overseeing all construction phases, and maintaining adherence to project specifications, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive site operation plan which includes aspects such as site access, site cleanliness, overall organization, security measures, utility management, material storage areas, trailer placement, signage, and emergency medical response plans.
Conduct daily site openings and closings, and perform regular site walkthroughs to monitor construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans and safety standards.
Maintain strict compliance with project specifications, schedules, safety protocols, and quality guidelines.
Facilitate clear and effective communication across the project team concerning blueprints, RFIs, and material submissions.
Break down the Project CPM Schedule into actionable, short-term goals to streamline work coordination and progress.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with project stakeholders including the owner, local officials, inspectors, subcontractors, and consultants, fostering a team-oriented environment.
Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to formulate detailed operational plans for construction sites addressing critical logistical concerns.
Proficient with basic computer applications for report generation and professional communication.
Strong leadership capabilities, adept at delegating tasks and inspiring team members to achieve project objectives.
Excellent time management skills, prioritizing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and enhance operational productivity.
Decisive and effective problem-solving skills, capable of conducting performance analyses and implementing strategic improvements.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising diverse phases of general and/or industrial construction projects.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually
