The Radiology Department at Medical Center, an affiliate of Medical School (HMS), is seeking enthusiastic applicants for an academic radiologist faculty
position in Breast Imaging to join its dynamic team. Candidates will work exclusively in the Breast Imaging division and perform a wide range of breast imaging studies and procedures including screening, diagnostic exams, ultrasound, MRI and needle localization and biopsy.
The well renowned Breast Imaging division has 5 highly dedicated subspecialty-trained faculty members, a Breast Imaging fellowship (2 fellows per year), 1 advanced practitioner, and 1 imaging nurse navigator. The academic Medical Center is a NAPBC approved Comprehensive Breast Center, and ACR designated Center of Excellence, with state of the art digital technology (including tomosynthesis and contrast enhanced mammography), ultrasound, MRIs (including 3.0 T) and multimodal biopsy capability. The successful candidate will be based at the Academic Medical Center. The division treasures its close collaborative relationships with referring services and its contributions to several multidisciplinary conferences per week are highly valued by their clinical colleagues.
Medical Center is a major Harvard Medical School-affiliated teaching hospital with 649 beds, a Level I trauma center, and well-developed multi-specialty clinical programs, including Breast Surgery, Pathology, and Medical and Radiation Oncology. Candidates should be excited about working in an academic environment and are expected to participate in all clinical, research and educational activities of the breast imaging division.
Applicants must be board-eligible/certified and fellowship-trained. Candidates will be eligible for academic appointment at Harvard Medical School at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor rank. Full time applications are preferred; part-time candidates will be considered. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
