In-Depth Engineering Corporation seeks Software Engineers to support our rapidly growing engineering work for the Missile Defense Agency’s Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). We have openings for mid-level and senior-level individual contributors. May travel up to 10% to support business needs.
The work is performed at our customer site in Colorado Springs, CO.
Duties:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design and development of product software.
Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment.
Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results with minimal oversight and direction.
Apply a holistic systems approach to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs.
Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree an Engineering field such as Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
5+ years of related professional experience
Must possess an active DoD Security clearance
Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
Strong Math and Physics background that includes linear algebra, numerical methods, orbital mechanics, gravity and earth modeling.
Experience developing software in object-oriented programming languages such as Ada, C, C++, or Java
Development and utilizing a Linux based development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of continuous integration/delivery
Algorithm/SW optimization and debugging skills
Familiarity with version control software and tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus Repository, Git, Gitlab, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
Familiarity with Agile SW development practices and DevSecOps.
Experience with Missile Defense Agency Systems
