Role Overview : Litigiven is seeking a meticulous and proactive Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage compliance issues within the organization, ensuring that our operations and procedures comply with legal regulations and internal policies. The Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to ethical practices and regulatory standards, safeguarding our brand reputation, and fostering a culture of compliance.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure all business operations align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and make necessary adjustments to mitigate risks.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
Stay updated on industry regulations, including legal technology and data privacy laws, and ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, promoting awareness and understanding of compliance issues.
Collaborate with various departments to address compliance issues and support the integration of compliance controls into operational processes.
Draft and review contracts, ensuring terms comply with legal regulations and protect the company’s interests.
Manage contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts.
Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities as required.
Serve as the point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and investigations, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies when necessary.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive compliance records, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
As a compliance lawyer, participate in the company’s product design process, providing legal counsel to ensure products comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
Licensed attorney with at least 3 years of experience working in a law firm. Advanced degrees or certifications in compliance, such as CCEP or CRCM, are preferred.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the legal and technology industries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating compliance requirements and issues clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in using compliance management software and tools.
High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding company values and fostering a culture of compliance.
