Server Administrator

The System Administrator is considered a subject matter expert in Windows Server technology. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining multiple client environments. Environments can range from small to enterprise level. The System Administrator will act as the primary resource for server/desktop ticket escalations as well and should be familiar with troubleshooting a wide variety of Windows Server and Desktop Issues. Experience with Active Directory, Office 365/Azure, and Exchange is necessary. In addition to server and desktop work, the IT System Administrator will at times touch all areas for the IT Environment. Familiarity with networking basics is crucial and familiarity with security is needed for this position. Responsibilities:
Administering and implementing various IT and Server solutions for small and medium-sized client environments.
Typical work may include migration from Windows Server 20xx to Windows Server 2019 or migrating on premise to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Office 365
Management and maintenance of Office 365/Azure as well as experience with Intune Device Management is required
Management of Virtualization enviornments using VMware, Hyper-V or KVM
Basic networking troubleshooting and maintenance.
Remote and onsite troubleshooting may be required at times
Escalation Support for issues relating to Windows Desktop Operating Systems and Office Applications
Windows Server maintenance
Understanding of best practices as it relates to Windows Server, Security, and Cloud environments.
Installation and troubleshooting of various IT solutions such as Network Monitoring, Security Information and Event Management, or VOIP
Qualifications:
4+ years of Windows Server and networking support experience,
Consulting or experience with a Managed Service Provider is a plus
Ability to multi-task is required
Experience managing and designing VMware/Hyper-V deployments
Experience in managing/configuring networking equipment via command line interface
Understanding of current backup and disaster recovery solutions
Great documentation skills
Proficiency in ticketing systems, Autotask experience a plus
Reliable transportation
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
Ability to have some flexibility with work schedule, as required
Excellent technical and analytical skills
Excellent spoken and verbal communication skills
