Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
Seeking certified Pharmacy Technicians in Florida to review Prior Authorizations and make initial determinations for a Pharmacy Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. Technicians will either approve or deny requests and then forward them to a Pharmacist for final review. Responsibilities include processing prescription exceptions, resolving claim rejects, member and physician outreach, entering member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system, and resolving insurance billing issues or escalated member issues. Technicians will escalate prescription-related questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or guidance on processing, and assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.
