Job Description
Meta is seeking an experienced Hardware Test Engineer to join their Reality Labs team in Menlo Park, CA! The main function of the Hardware Test Engineer will be to design and develop automated hardware lab test systems to test high-density, industry-leading wearable electronic components. The candidate will work with emerging technologies in a fast-paced team.
Key responsibilities include:
Create automated lab equipment testing systems using customized or modified Python scripts, optimizing lab test equipment for hardware validation test scenarios
Improving automation systems and test system reporting
Create and maintain automating electrical instrumentation for measuring and automatically creating reports.
Power Consumption measurement of various device use cases done in on-site lab environment
Monitoring test results, analyze data and correlate measurements against estimates
Debugging power regressions with respect to gathering device logs and implementing filtering mechanism to capture any red flags.
Ability to network, build relationships and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization.
Highly organized, able to prioritize and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience developing/modifying Lab Automations for Hardware Testing
At least 3 years of experience building automated lab test systems using Python
At least 3 years of experience working in a hardware research and/or development lab environment
At least 3 years of experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, power measurement equipments, DMMs, etc.
Experience processing/analyzing test data, extracting insight, making recommendations
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have (Not Required):
Experience extracting test data and analyzing data using SQL (big plus)
Experience working with and building scripting programming for running ADB devices, Android devices and IOS devices is a plus
knowledge of various hardware components such as circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and related computer hardware/software
