Senior Network Engineer Salary Range: $102,900.00 - $128,600.00 Exact compensation may vary based on skill, experience and location.
Network Administrator
POSITION PURPOSE The Network Administrator position is responsible for monitoring, configuring, and maintaining the credit union’s network and voice infrastructure to ensure maximum availability, performance, and security. Administers enterprise network, system, application, and database monitoring software to ensure appropriate alerts are configured and availability is tracked. Generate monthly availability reports for IT management review. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Network Monitoring and Administration (80%) Monitor and administer network infrastructure to include telecommunications circuits, LAN, WAN, Internet, routers, switches, wireless controllers and access points, voice over IP (VoIP), interactive voice recognition (IVR), and fax
Administer IP addressing, internal/external DNS, and DHCP services
Plan and implement network infrastructure upgrades and software patches
Ensure network infrastructure compliance with all applicable business polices and standards, and regulations
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical faults and/or outages
Perform disaster recovery tests of network and voice infrastructure
Assist with audio/video technology selection, installation, and administration
Administer enterprise network, system, application, and database monitoring software
Generate monthly enterprise availability reports
Generate and maintain network documentation to include procedures, topology diagrams, project plans, and business justifications
Follow IT Change Control processes and procedures
Research, evaluate and recommend new and emerging data, voice, video, wireless and security technologies
Perform other duties as assigned
Network Device Installation/Replacement (20%) Install fully assembled network devices (routers, switches, etc.) to support emerging business needs, hardware lifecycle, and/or hardware failure
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: Associate degree and two (2 years of information technology related experience); or one (1) year network and/or voice technical administration related experience Certification: Candidate should hold one or more of the following industry certifications: CompTIA Network+
Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)

POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of SAFE’s Enterprise Network. Duties include performance and capacity planning, as well as maintenance of network documentation and standards.This individual will assist with projects assigned to the Network Engineering team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Assist the Network Engineering Team in network connectivity design, installation and all activities related to network protocols, network management, switchrouter technology and configuration management.
Design, install, and support the credit union’s local and wide area networks.
Research and recommend changes to standards, or technologies, as necessary.
Maintain expert knowledge about the firewall and provide first level support of the firewall
Develop project plans and test procedures for the installation and upgrade of hardware and software.
Assist with projects assigned to the Network Services team.
Develop, test, and implement procedures necessary for network recovery.
Perform Internet configuration services.
Monitor system and network security, performance, and capacity; take corrective measures to ensure optimal performance; make recommendations for purchases and upgrades.
Monitor and support of data and voice networks (wired and wireless) to ensure maximum service availability
Troubleshoot hardware/software problems, including but not limited to: server-based, desktop, and remote vendor applications.
Train junior level specialists and technicians.
Ensure network documentation and operational procedures are up-to-date and followed.
Document procedures and incorporate them into the department’s Standards and Procedures Manual.
Ensure compliance with Information Technology policies, procedures, and standards.
Ensure minimal network downtime.
Maintain awareness of new technologies.
Complete other duties as assigned.

POSITION PURPOSE The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, monitoring, managing, and maintaining the credit union’s network infrastructure to ensure maximum availability, performance, and security. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Network Monitoring and Management (80%) Responsible for architecture design, security, integration and management of all network systems
Monitor and support of data and voice networks (wired and wireless) to ensure maximum service availability
Manage and maintain IP addressing, DNS, and DHCP services
Identify needs for improvements, capacity changes and upgrades. Plan and implement upgrades and patches
Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve faults in the operational network
Evaluate and recommend new and emerging data, voice, video, wireless and security technologies
Define and manage the disaster recovery plan for the network and telecommunications services
Ensure network compliance with all applicable business polices and standards, and regulations
Generate and maintain network operation procedures and topology diagrams
Produce project plans and design documentation, and business justification documents
Follow Change Management processes and procedures
Mentor and train junior and journey level Network Engineers
Produce reports and perform additional tasks as assigned
