Job Description: As an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), you will be responsible for leading audit assignments and implementing the audit strategy for various Lines of Business (LOBs). Key responsibilities include conducting risk-based audits, defining audit scope and procedures, evaluating control environments, assessing business impacts, and drafting audit reports. Additionally, you will manage relationships with business partners, foster an inclusive work environment, and mentor team members.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute audit strategies, defining audit scope and programs, and drafting audit reports using automation and innovative methods to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Oversee audit testing as the Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), ensuring adherence to quality standards, audit policies, and procedures.
Evaluate business processes, controls, and strategies, providing recommendations on severity ratings and escalating significant themes or trends.
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and sound judgment to effectively challenge and influence management, driving continuous improvements in the control environment.
Lead and mentor a team of associates, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
Maintain and develop relationships with business partners, primarily line management, to enhance business knowledge.
Apply product, business, and technical expertise to challenge management and improve the control environment.
Required Qualifications:
Over 7 years of direct experience with consumer financial laws and regulations, including responsibilities for compliance, oversight, or auditing within business operations.
Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. consumer financial laws and regulations.
Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while managing multiple priorities.
Familiarity with the regulatory landscape.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Strong communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Professional Compliance or Audit Certification (e.g., CRCM - Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, CIA - Certified Internal Auditor).
Experience with automation, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
