Summary:

The Data & Analytics Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic application of data at our company. This driven, and collaborative data expert, will be designing scalable and secure data systems that enable self-service business intelligence, analytics driven by insights, and decision support powered by artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities:

Architect, Design & Build Data & Analytics Solutions:

Lead the design and architecture of the cloud-based BI and Analytics Lakehouse platform using Azure Databricks, DBT and other modern data warehousing technologies.

Create and maintain data models, ELT processes, and data pipelines to support enterprise reporting and analytics needs.

Establish best practices for data storage, processing, and accessibility within the Lakehouse.

Collaborate with data engineers to develop and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and timeliness.

Integrate data from various sources into the Lakehouse, including structured and unstructured data, and develop standardized and enriched data models to deliver analytical solutions.

Optimize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources to ensure reliable and efficient data processing.

Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other enterprise data professionals to advance the organization's data capabilities.

Provide technical guidance, support & mentoring for data-related projects across the organization.

Performance, Accessibility and Best Practices:

Implement and maintain data security protocols and ensure data privacy and compliance with policy & regulation.

Define access controls, encryption, and auditing for sensitive data.

Document architectural designs, data flows, and procedures for the Lakehouse.

Establish and enforce best practices for data management and governance.

Monitor and optimize the performance of the data architecture to meet the requirements of data analysts and data scientists.

Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering or a related field.

4+ years' proven professional experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar roles.

Proficiency with leading cloud data platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake) and related data services.

Expert knowledge: Spark, Python, Scala, Hive, SQL

Experience with BI and Analytics tools, Power BI Premium is preferred.

Strong proficiency in data modeling fundamentals, ELT patterns, and data warehousing concepts.

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Hybrid work: On-site 2-3 days per week.
