About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Pharmacovigilance and Safety to lead and build the pharmacovigilance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best practices and scalable processes, owning the clinical safety strategy, and leading a team in a cross-functional environment. This role requires a strong clinical background, with a preference for a residency-trained physician, and a minimum of 15 years of experience in biopharma, CRO, or regulatory agency in safety and pharmacovigilance, particularly focused on oncology therapeutics. The VP will be the subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with health authorities, and providing leadership and oversight throughout the product development lifecycle.Key responsibilities include growing, directing, and supporting products from initial development stages to post-marketing, overseeing safety operations, and leading the transition to post-marketing pharmacovigilance. The role also involves leading process improvement, providing input to regulatory agency questions, and managing all safety-related activities for the company's products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in risk/benefit evaluation, signal detection, and safety evaluations, as well as experience in vendor oversight and regulatory interactions. Competencies required include excellent communication skills, the ability to adjust to change, and a proven history of establishing strong relationships and mentoring others in the field.
