THE ROLE

The Regional Retail Director effectively leads their team of Store Managers and ensures strong retail performance, with responsibilities in driving sales, customer satisfaction, and P&L management of the retail stores.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

• Monitor the P&L reports for each store and develop effective ways to fill in any gaps between actual performance and company

projections

• Prioritize store performance issues to make certain that the issues most directly affecting profitability are addressed first

• Immediately address any lapses in compliance with corporate policies or local, state, and federal laws

• Ensuring region-wide customer satisfaction and product quality

• Act as a coach to the store managers and as a resource to each store employee to help inspire the success of each store

• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of retail performance, ensuring efficient and sound operations, maximum profit, and a best-inclass store experience

• Establish and ensure key performance indicators (KPI) are being tracked and maintained in all store locations

• Anticipate market trends and opportunities by analyzing existing product performance, customer insights, and individual store KPI's

• Manage the purchasing and procurement of product mixes per location; set pricing and promotional strategies

• Ensure best-in-class customer experience exists by staying connected to customer needs, anticipating changes, and preparing teams to

meet consumer challenges

• Maintain active presence in the stores and provide support for in store events

• Analyze and create weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports

• Partner with Senior Leadership to develop, execute and evaluate strategies for opening new retail locations

• Develop initial store operating budget in coordination with Store Manager and Finance Department

• Establish staffing levels for new stores and partner with Human Resources to ensure a proper hiring plan is in place

• Ensure successful implementation of POS system in new locations, including employee training

• Maintain physical presence throughout store set up and store openings

• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to plan product allocation, merchandising plans, promotional signage, and social media

strategies

• Partner with cross functional leaders and Store Managers to monitor store inventory, staffing and other critical operational functions to

optimize store performance

• Partner with Compliance and HR to implement Standard Operating Procedures for all retail locations, and ensure they are in full

compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or 9+ years' experience in lieu of degree, in a senior management role in a retail setting, specifically with POS Strong

organizational, project management and time management skills to successfully implement strategic initiatives from initial idea

through execution

• Cannabis industry experience preferred

• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and prioritize workload to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines

• Must be a collaborative team player who can both nurture and develop retail management

• Proven leadership ability, as well as strength in building internal partnerships

• Ability to think strategically and develop achievable long-term goals

• Strong quantitative, analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and presentation skills; including the ability to provide written and verbal direction

effectively

• Strong organizational, project management and time management skills to successfully implement strategic initiatives from initial idea

through execution

• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

• Superior interpersonal skills including strong public speaking abilities

• 80% travel; hours and days of availability may fluctuate during times of greater demand

• Demonstrated creativity and innovation in implementing programs that fit business needs

• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills

• Strong project planning skills and project management skills

• Highly proficient in all MS office products (Proficient Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, and Outlook)

• Ability to pro-actively plan, schedule, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to manage ambiguity and move forward during change

• Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem-solver, including an ability to gather and analyze data and quickly identify key

issues

• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to regularly interface with senior management

• Ability to work well as part of a diverse, cross-functional team

• Self-starter, highly resourceful and capable of operating at a high level with little supervision

• Ability to connect and communicate effectively with virtual business partners (by phone, email, and/or other technology)

• High professional standards regarding customer service and confidentiality
