Document Controller

Summary
The document controller role will be a dedicated on-site resource to a brownfield construction for a facility in Avondale Louisiana. This resource will be in charge of organizing all project related documents that can be generated buy Engineering, Procurement, Construction or Operations teams. Familiarity with the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is a huge plus but not required.
Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement
Document tracking - track documents from engineers, reviewed and approved by our client to the contractors/business partners
Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)
Distribute links to project-related copies to internal teams
File documents in appropriate digital records (there are multiple)
Controlling Revisions of marked documents to ensure latest versions are being shared.
Align document flow with eng company
Once transmittals from eng company is received. Doc control will fetch the deliverable and store them
Inform all concerned/responsible parties about transmittal storage
If review of documents are required, contact accountable and responsible parties in a timely manner (usually 1 week before)
Transmit comments back to eng vendor once completed
Control and coordinate the structure of project filing system. Following standardized structure across Mega projects
Alignment with construction and eng companies. Doc control plan must be created to understand document control flow across all teams involved.
Post review doc control will place commented/marked copy in correct construction Drawing and Specs location
Filing SME approved drawing for procurement use to IFB
Filing receipts and drawings for SME final approval
Store transmitted IFC documents into designated engineering folder on sharepoint site
Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
Education/Experience/Skills Required
5+ years of experience in document and workflow administration
Demonstrated experience handling capital project work
Bachelor's degree preferred
Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) software highly preferred
Experienced in using TEAMS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
