We are seeking a dedicated Associate Director of Trade Compliance to enhance our team and drive forward our international trade operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight: Oversee all facets of import and export operations, ensuring strict compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing bio-pharmaceutical trade.
Strategic Planning: Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans for trade logistics that align with corporate objectives and support global business growth.
Risk Management: Develop and implement robust risk management strategies for global supply chain activities, ensuring continuity and compliance in volatile regulatory environments.
Collaboration: Foster close collaboration across departments including distribution, legal, regulatory affairs, and with external stakeholders to streamline operations and resolve trade compliance issues effectively.
Required Skills:
Trade & Distribution Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of distributing goods within stringent regulatory frameworks, particularly within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
Export Knowledge: Familiarity with export legislation and requirements governing international business transactions.
Import Regulation Acumen: Proven ability to manage complex details involved in importing critical materials necessary for production within regulatory compliance.
Logistics Coordination: Demonstrated track record in organizing logistical elements efficiently while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in trade compliance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance best practices.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
