About the Security Group:

About the Role:

Our Engineering team is looking to hire a Senior Engineer that has a passion for leading efforts across technology, engineering, and automation. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that CI/CD pipelines are secure and enabled for fast and safe development. A key portion of this role is the ability to collaborate with Bridgewater's DevOps teams to raise awareness and adoption of security best practices, embed these in code, and foster a security-first culture in those teams. This individual will also be responsible for advising teams on infrastructure security architecture, authentication, configurations, policies, and processes. This is a key leadership role on the engineering team, where this individual will be relied on to lead and manage others work efforts.

You will drive the following responsibilities:

Build relationships with application, infrastructure, and cloud technology teams to ensure the secure delivery of technology solutions

Help design and implement software modules, features, and services that are scalable and compoundable

Demonstrate full competency and comprehensive knowledge of one or more fields within the function

Perform granular security reviews - apply knowledge to guide testing of these systems to uncover security issues both manually and by developing automated tools

Independently and collaboratively solve security and technology problems

Maintain a high security standards through implementation of security controls at both enterprise and project levels

Navigate ambiguous situations thoughtfully, collaboratively and logically, taking ownership of technical decisions

A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in security engineering, architecture, design, and/or security operations

4+ years of Python or other language application development experience

Experience with software development technologies like Git, GitHub, GitLab, etc

Experience working on cloud services in Azure and/or AWS

Expertise in designing secure networks and systems, solid networking fundamentals

Experience with multiple operating systems such as Windows and Linux

Preferred Experience Experience with Devcontainers, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Functions, Lambda and other serverless technologies

Experience working with Terraform, Ansible, Chef or other IaC tools

Experience with CSPM tools, such as Wiz

Experience with ZeroTrust tools, such as Zscaler

Experience with network security controls such as Firewalls, WAFs, Proxies, Data Loss Prevention, IDS, IPS

Experience with threat modeling

Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Azure Security (AZ-500), or AWS Security

Physical Requirements

This role is offered with fully-remote flexibility and can be performed from anywhere within the United States. This approach is role specific and each team will have some slight variations that we will be able to describe in more detail throughout the recruiting process.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $335,000 - $475,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 70% - 80% of this wage range.
