Provide executive-level communications plans and materials for senior leadership, working proactively to anticipate needs, seek opportunities for employee engagement and develop compelling and tailored messaging for events and speaking opportunities.

Contribute to the quarterly financial communications cycle, developing and implementing town halls and leader communications, including videos and other content.

Develop a comprehensive, multi-channel/platform strategy for collecting and sharing thought leadership content and inspirational stories, collaborating with customers.

Partner with business HR on organizational change communications initiatives, including developing business-level key messages, talking points, FAQs and other materials.

Liaise with Corporate Change Communications on large-scale business transformation and M&A projects to develop key messages and assess audience impacts.

Empower, mentor and coach team members, as well as exert influence in a matrixed organization.

Give counsel to senior-level executives on crisis or issue scenarios as they arise.

Participate in initiatives that support and align with the overall goals and focus areas of the Global Communications organization.

Qualifications:

8+ years of communications experience in corporate communications, internal communications and/or public relations. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Experience in highly regulated industry and track record of success in a large, matrixed organization.

Experience in driving internal and external communications strategies, including change communications and public relations.

Understanding and experience of social media channels to drive targeted-audience engagement.

Expert writer and editor; Strong verbal communicator with excellent interpersonal and listening skills.

Extensive experience in working with senior executives and developing content in their voice and style.

Combination of a strategic problem-solver and hands-on tactician.

Business acumen and intellectual curiosity to learn about business strategies, competitive landscape and scientific products and technologies.

Adaptable and comfortable working through organizational change. Open to feedback and continuous improvement.

Proven success in a large, fast-paced environment and able to lead multiple projects while prioritizing the most important activities.

Can influence without direct authority and experience with team leadership.

Ability to travel internationally and domestically as needed.

As one team of 100,000+ colleagues, we share a common set of values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement - working together to accelerate research, address complex scientific challenges, drive technological innovation and support patients in need. #StartYourStory at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where diverse experiences, backgrounds and perspectives are valued.
