CNC Programmer

Job Description

CNC ProgrammerAs a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming a variety of CNC manufacturing equipment to perform tasks such as 3 and 5 axis cutting, CNC Lathe and router programming. You will play a key role in shaping manufactured parts from raw materials by using cutting-edge technology.ResponsibilitiesProgram various CNC manufacturing equipment for tasks such as 3 and 5 axis cutting, CNC Lathe and router programming.Use CAD/CAM programming system to convert engineering drawings and change orders into machine G Code format.Implement changes to machine programs and enter new specifications.Program future jobs while machines are operating and ensure the current revision level is accurate.Complete all necessary documentation and follow up as required in a timely and orderly manner.Inspect and evaluate production parts to blueprint specifications.Design, build and repair a broad variety of basic mechanical and/or specialty equipment and jigs and fixtures.Perform preventive maintenance responsibilities for assigned departmental equipment/machinery, including corrective maintenance as required.Essential SkillsMinimum of 10 years of CNC Programming experience.At least 5 years of experience with Catia.Proficiency in blueprint reading, Lathe, Mill, and GD&T.Strong knowledge of machining and aircraft manufacturing processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsFive years of CAD/CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Attention to detail and the ability to read drawings and specifications (GDT).Good written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair, and maintenance.Join a team that values precision and innovation in manufacturing. The dress code includes pants/shorts and a shirt, with no tank tops or cut-offs permitted. Be open to working either the 1st shift (Mon-Fri; 6:30am-3pm) or the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri; 3pm-11:30pm).Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $67.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
