Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Manager

HF Sinclair is seeking a Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Manager to support the Government Affairs and Corporate Management teams to further overall company objectives and identify regulatory and public policy trends. Leads overall strategy related to rulemaking and regulatory changes while working cross functionally to ensure all segments of the Company understand proposed changes.
Key Responsibilities
Closely monitor rulemaking and regulatory changes that could impact the company and/or industry. Highlight potential threats/risk and develop positions for Senior Management and Government Affairs team.
Coordinate cross-functional working groups to develop best practices and strategies for compliance with new and existing regulations.
Provide insight into regulatory or public policy trends that have potential to impact business strategy.
Serve as the Companys subject matter expert when it comes to federal and state regulatory regimes.
Develop executive level material to be used in meetings with Senior Management regarding new and existing regulations.
Assist Government Affairs, Legal, Operations, Commercial, and other internal teams with draft comments on proposed regulatory changes.
Support sustainability efforts within the Company.
Track regulatory changes impacting the permitting process in various regions.
If needed, participates in industry forums and trade associations as a subject matter expert.
Monitor and track domestic and international regulatory programs, with specific focus on U.S, Canada and Europe.
Works with senior management, product management, marketing and sales personnel in support of organizational goals.
Support Government Affairs and Political Action Committee group as needed.
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience and Professional Qualifications
7 - 10 years experience of federal/state regulatory agency experience, or federal/state policy experience, or experience within the energy industry specifically oil and gas preferred
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
Strong regulatory competency as well as strong negotiation and influencing skills
Analytically strong with attention to detail
Ability to present complex issues in a simple concise manner
Thorough understanding of the regulatory process
A minimum of a bachelors degree in scientific discipline, Government, Public Policy, Law, Communications, or a related field, is required.
