Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for studies of limited scope requiring application of prescribed engineering methods.
Responsible for assisting more senior engineers and/or leads in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed analysis, design or computation methods.
Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.
Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications, or routines.
Problem/ Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.
Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor and others in group or department to give and receive information.

Automation Engineer Intern
Works closely with a member of the team to enhance knowledge and skillset.
Learns and implements the Company's Best Practices for projects and processes.
Assist on simple automation controls task with oversight from a mentor.
Automation Engineer IV
Works closely with member of the team and assist to complete projects in a timely manner.
Implements and utilizes the Company's Best Practices for projects and processes.
Fundamental awareness of basic electrical knowledge.
Automation Engineer III
Report unusual problems to senior engineers or specialists.
Solve problems by applying standards, procedures, best practices, and following detailed instructions. Also, use initiative and judgment to resolve problems, interpret engineering specification, and investigate design and field engineering difficulties.
Make recommendations based on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors and others.
Automation Engineer II
Recommend changes in plans to improve overall design.
Assisting more senior engineers and/or leads in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed analysis, design or computation methods.
Working knowledge of instrumentation wiring, loop diagrams.
Automation Engineer I
Working knowledge of power and control design, installation.
Provide technical and specification writing.
Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult coordination requirements.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PER JOB LEVEL
Engineer Intern - Education = Junior or Senior in University/College
Engineer IV - Education = Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Engineer III - Education = Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Experience = 2 years
Engineer II - Education = Bachelor's Degree; Experience = 4 years
Engineer I - Education = Bachelor's Degree; Experience = 6 years
