As a Principal Software Engineer, a typical day might include:
Implementing innovative approaches to managing and querying big data
Fine-tuning database queries for speed and efficiency
Developing highly scalable and fast APIs written in Python, TypeScript and R
Utilizing AWS services such as Athena, Redshift, Aurora, Glue, Lambda, and ECS to build cloud native solutions
Prioritizing and completing multiple initiatives in an agile environment
Leveraging new and emerging technologies to incorporate into portfolio of solutions
Ensuring alignment to architecture guidelines and frameworks related to logging, authentication, security, error recovery, etc.

Experience utilizing AWS or equivalent cloud provider services preferred. Level commensurate based upon experience and qualifications.
