We are seeking a seasoned Design Director to join our Creative team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will oversee the brand's visual strategy across all platforms, ensuring the visual identity is cohesive and impactful. This includes leading brand design efforts for product launches, packaging, production, experiential, and retail environments. They will have a strong understanding of corporate identity, branding, editorial design, typography, packaging, retail and experiential design, and work independently and alongside other designers, and internal partners. They will have practical experience creating brand guidelines, concept decks, strategic input briefs and be comfortable engaging entry-level through executive stakeholders and working with different types of creative professionals and creative outputs.

This role is hybrid for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA and reports to the SVP, Creative.

Responsibilities:

Develop in partnership with Creative Director innovative 360 concepts across print and digital in line with campaign needs.

Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies.

Develop, design, and execute in-store design concepts for specific assortments and retailers, including production design work.

Lead Creative briefings and partner closely with Marketing to understand 360 campaign needs.

Ensure the level of excellence in all creative work designed and executed.

Present to, and collaborate directly with, SVP of Creative, Project Management team, Product Development team, Sales, and CMO

Maintain brand strategy, identity, and consistency.

Uphold brand consistency across all media, crafting design guidelines and creatively addressing layout challenges.

Ensure consistency of brand and creative across digital customer touch points.

Be able to go on site to do press checks.

Closely partners upstream during strategic development with Marketing , Product Development, Sales, Project Management, and Creative counterparts to ensure cross-functional alignment.

Proactively identify opportunities to tap into or incorporate the latest trends in pop culture, creativity, production approaches & techniques, and broader inspirations, innovations, and interruptions.

Managing a team of Designers—Senior Production Designer, Packaging Art Director, Senior Visual Merchandise Designer, Tactile Freelance Designers

Job requirements 10+ years of experience in comprehensive design, preferably in the fashion/beauty industry

Have a strong understanding of print design, paper, sustainable materials, and color

Strong expertise with tools like Figma, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Excellent communication, presentation skills, and ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.

Deep understanding of fashion and beauty trends, digital best practices, and the production process.

Proven leadership in managing a design team

A strong portfolio showcasing diverse conceptual and execution skills
