What You’ll Do
We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee and drive the software development of the Spotter Studio. The Spotter Studio is a not-yet-launched SaaS software product that helps the world’s most successful YouTube creators in the areas of ideation, pre-production and analytics.
In this newly created position, you’ll be closely working with all stakeholders making up the “Studio” pod, including PMs, software engineers and designers, as well as the Executive Vice President (EVP), Creator Products and Tools. You will manage all aspects of the project, including the agile scrum process, the overall project plan, roadmap and metrics. Your responsibility is to see this project to its completion, and currently that means releasing version 1.0 and successfully commercialization.
This role requires you to dive deep into the subject matter and target customer. You’re expected to live and breathe the Spotter studio along with its specs, roadmap and architecture. Your natural curiosity will lead to closely working with all stakeholders to understand the complete picture. You are not a glorified notetaker - you’re driving the development. You’ll be able to write an epic and maintain it in your sleep because you have full context over what’s going on.
Like the rest of the team, you’ll be obsessed with solving problems YouTube creators are facing, and apply your creative skills on a day-to-day basis. You’re genuinely excited to work in this space, and can’t wait to interact with creators to unpack how we’ll build solutions for them with our PMs, designers and engineers.
This position is based in our Culver City HQ and reports into our EVP of Creator Products and Tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the entire lifecycle of software development: Break down all OKRs and goals into epics, stories and activities with the eng, PM and design team and execute in agile sprints
Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, bridging technical and business stakeholders across multiple workstreams and departments to ensure clear understanding and alignment on project goals, specifications, and progress.
Integrate Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) into project planning and execution to align technical projects with strategic business goals.
Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and project specifications.
Implement and manage project management practices based on Agile and Scrum methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to adapt to changing requirements and ensure continuous improvement.
Write concise technical tickets and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, using in-depth knowledge of software principles
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and quality.
Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle, including project plans, progress reports, and final deliverables.
Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, client, and internal meetings and meeting agendas, ensuring they're productive and forward-moving.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of program or project management experience in SaaS, tech, running operations for a large product or suite of products.
Proven track record of shipping successful software projects by project managing a team of engineers, designers and PMs
High level understanding of the modern SaaS development stack (e.g. Next.js, React, Github, Docker, Kubernetes.. - none of these words should be foreign to you)
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Extremely curious and creative problem solver – you’ll obsess over a problem space once you’ve dedicated yourself to it.
Experience with managing cross-functional teams and workflows.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills
Experience with Notion as a ticketing system and roadmap builder
Experience in the YouTube creator ecosystem or related digital platforms.
Proven knowledge or experience with AI-based tools or technologies.
Prior experience in a startup environment or rapid growth company.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Culver City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $100K-$500K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual discretionary bonus and equity.
