Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for both quality and process engineering responsibilities. In the realm of quality, you will be tasked with incoming and in-process quality acceptance testing, monitoring test procedures, compiling test data, and participating in audits. You will also conduct various types of tests, including tensile, acetone, humidity, freezer, sieve, and hardness tests, as well as dimensional inspections. As a Process Engineer, you will evaluate chemical processes for Brake Shoe Material, looking into plant layout, production processes, and determining improvements. You will work closely with the Manager, gaining extensive knowledge and eventually becoming the Subject Matter Expert in this space.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
for the first 6 months, you will work 3am-11am doing quality and process work. then the next 6 months would turn into a regular 1st shift role***
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in West Chicago, Illinois.
Work Environment
You will initially be working in a Quality Lab, a temperature-controlled and highly regulated environment, dealing with different chemical processes. Occasionally, you will be required to venture into the production area for samples and testing, an environment which is not air-conditioned, loud, and very dirty. Please note that our facility is not a new engineering building, so candidates should be aware that it is not a 'nice or modern looking facility.'
