Tempest is seeking an exceptional Assistant Sales Manager to drive and manage our sales team. This resource will strive to reach our sales targets through their own skills and the leadership of a team of driven sales representatives. Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of and experience with the entire sales process. Were seeking a quick learner and someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and the ability to partner with the CEO/VP of Sales to maintain and support a high-performance sales force. They will own and execute the sales plan in coordination with the VP of Sales. This resource will work with the Operations, Finance, Marketing and ERP departments to ensure the sales teams needs are met. They will collaborate with various professionals, so its essential that they have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment.
Ultimately, the Inside Sales Manager should be able to build a high-performance sales team to ensure GP growth and customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities:**
* Work with the VP of Sales to set sales strategy and execution per customer segment across our complete offerings of equipment and services
* Own and execute this plan with the Sales Team, Marketing, Supply and divisional leaders in Services and Repair.
* Own the creation and execution of sales tools, replicating proven tactics and bringing these solutions to all customers
* Track and analyze performance data and project future performance.
* Manage the pipeline for the sales team.
* Set quotas and goals, ensure these are met by holding regular check-ins with the team to set objectives and monitor progress.
* Recruit open positions for the sales team, set objectives, train, and coach, and monitor performance.
* Prepare and update monthly forecasts.
* Suggest and implement improvements on our sales enablement tools and administration process.
* Build an open-communication environment for your team
* Liaise with our Marketing department on marketing campaigns and tradeshows
**Requirements:**
* Proven work experience as a sales manager
* Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel
* In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
* Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
* Strong analytical and organizational skills
* Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
* Must be fully vaccinated (includes booster)
**Location:** Santa Barbara, CA
**Compensation:** Base salary, plus an incentive plan to be determined by level of experience.
