Job Description:
Client is looking for a Java Technical Lead with proven experience building robust, high-performance, large scale Capital Markets applications.
Ideal background:
10 plus years Core Java experience developing robust, scalable, and maintainable applications applying Object Oriented Design principles.
Strong knowledge and hands on experience in Java (Version 1.8 or above)
Integration with SSO such as OAUTH and Expertise in Spring Batch, Spring IOC, Spring Annotation, Spring Security
Hands-on experience in REST-APIs, and Backend using Java/J2EE technologies
Should possess Unix/Linux knowledge to be able to write and understand shell scripts and
commands
Have an experience in Data Preparation Tools Experience with CI/CD build pipelines and toolchain – Git, BitBucket, TeamCity, Artifactory, Jira Experience.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience in tools such as JIRA, BlackDuck,
SONAR etc.
Distributed Caching frameworks such as Ignite, Hazlecast, Redis or equivalent.
Cloud computing technologies with practical experience working with containers, microservices and large datasets (Docker, Kubernetes).
Demonstrated capacity to build sophisticated tooling for development and production team use.
Experience re-engineering large monolithic applications to microservices.
Experience re-engineering complex franchise critical Legacy service applications to new platforms.
Bonus Points for:
Financial markets background (Ideally Credit Risk)
Full-stack development experience (designing and developing robust, scalable, and
maintainable applications applying Object Oriented Design principles)
Proven experience as a Development Lead
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS)
Demonstrated capacity to build sophisticated tooling for development and production teams
Pay Range: $60 - $68/hour on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
