The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing warehouse staff, coordinating shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the warehouse complies with all safety regulations. The Warehouse Manager will report to the Director of Operations.

Duties and responsibilities

Staff Management:

Hire, train, and supervise warehouse staff.

Schedule and oversee daily work assignments and activities.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.

Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Operations Management:

Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.

Ensure efficient use of warehouse space and resources.

Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and supplies.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.

Implement inventory control systems to minimize loss and ensure inventory accuracy.

Coordinate with the purchasing department to manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.

Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with transportation providers.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders.

Resolve any issues related to shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.

Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, including productivity, inventory accuracy, and shipping/receiving metrics.

Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Provide reports and updates to senior management as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Proficient in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.

Working conditions

The role may require occasional evening and weekend work.
