Our Product Organization works across all aspects of our operation including Web and Mobile App, Customer Acquisition, e-commerce, Customer Communications, Customer Service, Sales Enablement, Invoicing, Accounting, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and more.
Job Overview: As the Product Lead for the Supply Chain at Baldor, you will be responsible for product strategy, roadmap development, and delivery of software, tooling, technology capabilities, and digital experiences through the end-to-end supply chain & merchandising workflow – enabling internal users to properly manage Baldor demand planning, supply procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory throughout our supply chain and merchandising.
Supply and demand planning and forecasting – enabling internal users to optimize supply and demand through planning tools and capabilities (focus on Baldor’s ERP), optimizing for margins by driving the right inventory throughput and reducing stock-outs and losses
Pricing and margin optimization – Support our team’s pricing tools, while tracking inventory throughput and financial data to optimize margins, including COGS, logistics costs, and more
Merchandising capabilities – Enable merchandising teams to set up items and their attributes so we can market and distribute the right items to the right customers in the right channels/treatments within our end customer shopping experience
Vendor portal management and procurement – Create best-in-class vendor experiences for our farms and other supplier partners to enhance ours and their supply chain and logistics processes, streamline how Baldor and vendors interact during the vendor onboarding process, purchasing, inventory receiving and accounts receivable/payments
Inventory management and tracking - Build access, insight, and awareness of inventory performance to help Supply Chain teams be informed of and action on supply, demand, and margin scenarios; manage inventory catalog tooling for 1,000s of item SKUs, automate data and replenishment, while accurately tracking inventory through the supply chain
Work in partnership with Baldor’s customer-facing channels including the web, mobile to ensure supply chain data and considerations inform the customer experience
This Product Lead will contribute to and share ownership of metrics and results including Inventory throughput, Pricing/Margin optimization, Revenue, and Supply/Demand forecasting accuracy. This Product Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, engineering, design, and data analytics to develop and execute product strategies that align with the company's vision and goals. Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality products that enable users and drive business value.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the product strategy, roadmap, and vision, considering user needs, market situation, and business objectives.
Conduct customer research, market research, inventory analysis, and user interviews to gather insights and identify product opportunities and gaps.
Define product requirements, specifications, and user stories to guide the development process.
Collaborate closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, making data-driven decisions to maximize value and optimize resource allocation.
Work closely with the merchandising, sales, and operations teams to identify user needs and develop supply chain, inventory, and vendor strategies and solutions.
Monitor and analyze key product metrics, such as user engagement, product health, and business impact, and take appropriate actions to drive product improvements.
Lead cross-functional teams during product launches, ensuring smooth coordination and alignment across departments.
Act as a product evangelist, both internally and externally, by delivering presentations, demos, and training to stakeholders and customers.
Be a product leader with the Baldor team by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management, and apply them to enhance our product offerings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, Computer Science), or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience as a Product Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Merchandising Manager, or similar role, preferably in fields related to the roles.
Strong understanding of product management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Deep analytical rigor, data, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Experience with Supply Chain, pricing, accounting, and inventory management software, including ERP (experience with Dynamics 365 a plus).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Technical background and familiarity with software development processes, preferably with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for innovation and a desire to create exceptional products.
Experience with Product and Technology tooling is a plus, such as JIRA, Confluence, MIRO, etc.
