Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Applicants must meet DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II or higher
Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time, scheduled and unscheduled with short notice
Clearance Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of an active TS/SCI security clearance. Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph within a reasonable amount of time after hire, with acceptable timing determined by manager. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced Linux Systems Administrator who thrives in fast-paced ever-changing environments, enjoys multitasking, and can work independently or as part of a project team. Reporting to the System Administrator Team Lead, this position will be a key member of our team and responsible for the maintenance and administration of Linux systems and network infrastructure.
Your responsibilities may include:
Managing all aspects of exchange server, services, back-ups and restore
Support and perform defined tasks in a VMware virtual environment.
Windows command level administration
Command level troubleshooting of OS and associated hardware/software
Managing and maintaining core and system wide backups
Performing, restoring, or rebuilding of MS OS based systems, files and associated applications
Managing system wide patching as needed or as required
Providing on-site technical solutions
Installing, moving and or break-down systems
Providing detailed technical solutions
Creating, modifying, and removing user accounts
Command level Microsoft Windows troubleshooting
Red Hat LINUX command line administration
Troubleshooting of associated hardware/software
Create, track and resolve helpdesk action items
Maintain the security and stability of cross domain enterprise level solutions
Build, install, move and or break-down systems on-site or remotely
Create detailed technical reports and metrics
Interact with customers and support personnel at off-site data centers
Command level Database troubleshooting, including SQLite
Must be able to perform scheduled and unscheduled fly-away support
The successful candidate will have experience with many of the following:
Build, configure, administer and troubleshoot Linux (and Windows) servers and user workstation hardware and software
Design and implement workgroup-scale networks; build and manage authentication, file-share, and other collaboration servers to support groups of heterogeneous client systems
Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and functionalities (e.g., firewalls, Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory (AD), Splunk, SolarWinds, etc.)
Extensive experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.X or 7.X, with a strong experience with handling files, directories and command-line interface (CLI) skillset
Experience with Linux security, SSL/TLS, certificates, encryption, key stores, firewalls, management of PAM authentication, configuring system auditing and configuring SELinux
Experience with centralized authentication technologies such as LDAP and Active Directory domains in supporting (Linux/Windows) cross-platform clients is desirable
Familiarity with the DIACAP and/or ML accreditation processes, specifically with configuring Linux systems in compliance with the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
MS Windows system administration experience, including: Active directory experience in Server 2008R2/2012R2/2016 and WSUS management
Experience with operating systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services
Experience with configuring local storage using partitions and logical volumes
Experience with file systems and file system attributes, such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems
Ability to deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, updates, and core services
Ability to troubleshoot issues and suggest resource monitoring options
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to think outside of the box to design effective solutions
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position will interact with senior-level executives
Document and electronically store daily task information, architecture, processes, and user instructions
Experience with CEPH Cluster Administration is desired
