We have an opening for a DevOps Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. This position will be in Dulles, VA or Colorado Springs, CO. This work will primarily be performed in a SCIF environment so onsite work is required.
In this Role, you will:
Produce applications that span languages and toolsets including Python, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis
Locate and remediate problems in code, testing, and deployment
Take program software to the next level by using automation frameworks
Learn cutting edge technologies that take full advantage of a cloud environment
Use tools like Jenkins and Ansible to set up automation steps that fast-track code from development, testing, and deployment
Be a part of the enabling technology at Northrop Grumman that puts satellites and spacecraft into space that catapults the Space Protection Mission to the forefront of capability and effectiveness
To be successful you should have:
Experience with the design, build, and deployment of software products
Familiarity with Agile framework or Scaled Agile Framework
Familiarity with DevOps practices and how it compliments Agile software development
Experience working with Python preferably on Linux operating systems
Experience working with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, PostgreSQL, SonarQube
Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure provisioning
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or closely related discipline plus 2 years of development/DevOps experience (0 years with a master’s degree, 0 years with a PhD). Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Demonstrated Agile/DevOps experience
Experience with products like Python, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud technologies (AWS, OpenShift, etc.)
US Citizenship with a current or active Top-Secret clearance

Salary Range: $77,200 - $115,800
Salary Range 2: $85,000 - $127,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
