Fair Lending Senior Compliance Analyst

Clifton, NJ, United States

Overview:

The Sr. Fair Lending Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the Compliance Fair Lending Monitoring Program, the individual will work directly with the Chief Compliance Officer and the CRA Officer ensuring that the Bank remains in compliance with all Fair Lending regulatory requirements, laws, rules, and related policies. This position requires a strong analytical background, the ability to perform fair lending, unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts, or practices (UDAAP) quantitative analytics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with complex datasets.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and oversee the Banks Compliance Fair Lending Monitoring Program to ensure compliance with all fair lending laws, regulations, and guidance

Conducts data analysis of the Banks consumer compliance data, to include Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), and other lending related data to identify lending anomalies that may indicate a need for management to adjust current procedures and/or practices to eliminate and/or mitigate possible fair lending risks

Analyze risk associated with underwriting, pricing, and servicing using business data and statistical analysis software

Identify interdependencies and trends in data analyses

Perform ongoing fair lending statistical analysis to identify fair lending risks using programming skills, regression analysis, statistical techniques for disparate treatment and impact testing for the enterprise, and exceptions evaluation

Design and develop key compliance management dashboards

Stay abreast of changes to federal and applicable state banking laws and regulations affecting the management, operations and product offering of the enterprise. Collaborate in the assessment of UDAAPs and fair lending risks and recommend actions to be taken and/or controls to be implemented

Analyze business results to identify issues and propose potential solutions

Request and collect documentation to support analyses

Participate in projects and/or additional responsibilities as assigned

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Bachelors degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience in a corporate compliance function

Expertise in utilizing software programs to perform thorough compliance assessments and reviews (RiskExec a plus)

Excel at developing dashboard reporting that concisely captures program status, key risks, and resolutions

Subject matter expertise for the areas of HMDA, ECOA, FHA, Truth in Lending and Fair Credit Reporting Act

Ability to manage priorities and workflow

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong interpersonal skills, creative, flexible, and innovative team player.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to present information logically

Advanced Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Possess the ability to work independently with minimal direction and exhibit initiative.

May need to travel to other corporate offices.
