INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/NETWORK)

Summary The primary purpose of this position is: The purpose of this position is to serve as Information Technology (IT) (CUSTSPT/NETWORK) Specialist with responsibility for performance of work requiring the application of advanced LAN/WAN systems configuration, design, testing and integration supporting cyber maintenance and mission assurance of Air Force Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO). Responsibilities DUTY 1: Applies functional knowledge in the leading of systems administration teams planning, researching, designing, developing, testing, evaluating, integrating, acquiring, disseminating, sustaining and modifying complex DCO weapons system environments to support the organization's mission objectives. DUTY 2: Utilizes advanced knowledge of hardware/software in leading teams in the development of ACD weapons system hardware upgrades and/or software integration to evaluate and predict the ability to support assigned projects or resolve problems. DUTY 3: Provides sensor technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance. DUTY 4: Coordinates and/or executes ACD weapons system maintenance specific acquisition/sustainment tasks related to PMO program planning, acquiring advanced technologies, hardware/software sustainment, RMF compliance and ensuring local system support. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: BASIC REQUIREMENTS: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT. Security: Position is designated Special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Positions designated as an acquisition position: Positions are covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) and the employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
