**Job Summary**

To Provide intermediate technical support for personal computing hardware, software and peripherals. Responsible for routine support of hardware, software, and peripherals for which an intermediate level of skill is required. Provides solutions for task that are of moderate complexity and duration.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Assists the department with the common uses of standard personal and lab computing technology for academic and administrative functions.

+ Consults with the department and the learning resource center on standard to moderately complex personal and lab computing needs.

+ Install, setup, configure, and perform modifications to standard hardware, software, and peripherals.

+ Must be able to diagnose and perform intermediate to advanced software, hardware and peripheral repairs.

+ Assists in maintenance of computer processors and constructs special purpose computer related equipment from detailed specifications.

+ Will maintain and support the computers, software packages, and other technical resources for the Leaning Resource Math Lab which consists of over 150 machines under almost constant operation as well as multiple technological resources and data bases.

+ Other responsibilities include managing the other math computer labs with teaching software and faculty/staff computers and technology in a very active academic department.

+ Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining the departmental websites, troubleshooting various types of classroom equipment, and supporting multiple operating systems for research and specialized software.

+ Will act as a departmental data security person, assist in maintaining documentation for standards, services, and procedures and obtain professional certifications as needed for vender specific processes.

+ Performs related duties as required.

+ Other functions as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Associates degree or two (2) years of practical work experience in a computer related field.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Knowledge of and/or experience with an extensive variety of computing hardware, software, and peripherals.

+ Accuracy is required.
