Responsibilities of the Application Engineer include, but are not limited to:
Provide customer service, sales, & technical support to DXP sales force & customers
Understand & implement DXP policy to achieve both customer & company goals
Work closely with DXP Harahan Service Center Sales, Fabrication & Vendors to facilitate the sales effort & meet customer requirements
Evaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, & other pertinent data
Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs & cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements
Aid in the design & development of equipment & systems, & redesign of existing systems
Notify inside & outside staff of new products & processes as needed
Facilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints & failures
Maintain organization of order files, monitor in-house orders & assist sales & fabrication with

Qualifications of the Application Engineer include, but are not limited to: 1 year of applicable experience preferred, but not required
Preferred knowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment & fabricated pumping systems
Must be able to work independently to achieve targeted results
Well-organized & self-motivated
Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
Effective negotiating skills
Project management experience and team work skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of Solid Works or AutoCAD
Physical Demand: N/A
Working Conditions: Office environment
Training/Certifications: Any related to pumps, motors, couplings, mechanical seals
Shift Time/Overtime: N/A
Travel: N/A
Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering or related experience
