Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures with Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development.. Suggest and justify product directions within approved directions. Define responsibilities for new projects and specifies, designs and develops software according to those specifications. Provide consultative software guidance and strategic direction associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Acknowledged expert/professional within company and/or industry nationally and internationally. Provides leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, techniques. Acts as primary consultant on large projects that effect the organization's long term objectives / strategy. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 more years of software engineering or related experience.

We’re looking for transformational technical leader with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. We are facing several engineering challenges in critical foundational compute services that power the next gen OCI Cloud and the associated its tools and orchestration mechanisms. We need you to challenge existing engineering assumptions and boundaries services that were laid down years ago in order to scale to our next cloud generation. These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives.

With your superb technical, research and analytical capabilities and demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively to delight our customers, you’ll partner with the existing leaders in the organization to drive innovation for Substrate and be a force multiplier for the next generation of engineers on how to take on such projects. You will envision, collaborate with executives for investment and drive the software design and development for new major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. Making these deep architectural changes calls for an outstanding builder and technical leader with an established industry track record of success in leading large cloud scale projects:

US: Hiring Range: from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
