Job Description
Position Summary:
The Programmer / Data Analyst position is part of the Decision Support Team and supports the organization’s data driven management strategies. This position is responsible for pulling and analyzing health care data, including HCC and RAF scores. Data mining, manipulation of data using Excel and high level critical thinking are essential job functions. This position may also provide programming support in the form of SQL coding, Access database development and maintenance, Tableau dashboard creation and deployment of reports using SSRS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Extract and analyze data with SQL scripts
Manipulate and interpret data using Excel and Access
Analyze data on key health care metrics such an HCC, RAF scores, enrollment growth and utilization of services
Decode end user report requests into SQL specifications
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Be responsive to end-user requests for customization of existing reports
Work collaboratively with fellow team members
Create dashboards for presentation to the Executive Team
Develop user friendly database solutions in Microsoft Access
Develop and support Tableau Dashboards
Develop reporting solutions using SSRS
Support the library of Crystal Reports
Take ownership of assigned projects and deadlines
All other duties as directed by management
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $112,065.20 - $115,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Requirements
Education and / or Experience: 3+ years of SQL programming experience
3+ years of experience in a healthcare organization
3+ years of experience producing and analyzing reports
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
SSRS and/or Tableau experience preferred
Knowledge of relationship database theory preferred
Access database development (VBA) experience preferred
Ability to prioritize work and manage competing deadlines
Ability to provide a high level of customer service to end users
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to learn new material quickly
Ability to follow instructions accurately
A strong personal work ethic
Excellent critical thinking skills
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college is preferred
