Job Summary
The role of the Senior Provisioner encompasses the provisioning of access circuits from carrier order submission until test and turn-up. This requires in-depth knowledge of Access Service Requests (ASR), Firm Order Commitment (FOC), Design Layout Reviews (DLR), carrier build milestones, and an understanding of MPLS / Ethernet technologies and basic IP subnetting. Additionally, the Senior Provisioner communicates carrier updates to customer-facing project managers to manage customer expectations effectively. Core Responsibilities
Ensure accurate ASR, FOC, DLR and handover documentation details on all orders and documents. Must be able to translate technical information into a format suitable for customer consumption.
Document all order-related activities and status changes in the appropriate provisioning database to ensure all involved parties have access to the most current information pertaining to a specific customer order.
Coordinate people, processes and events related to construction activities undertaken by service providers to deliver new outside plant facilities to a customer location. Gather important details such as project plans, customer room-ready requirements, legal right-of-way documents, certificates of insurance and key milestone dates.
Responsible for ordering any requisite cross-connects or Smart Hands tickets to connect carrier circuits to the Masergy backbone.
Provide LOA/CFA documents to allow customers to connect to Masergy equipment at collocation facilities.
Provide support for Project Managers, Sales Engineers, Global Account Managers and Network Engineers during the service delivery process to address the needs of customers and local loop providers.
Proactively monitor and track heavy workload as designated by the manager and hold service providers accountable for meeting committed delivery schedules.
Provide monthly analysis of all active orders and offer expert guidance related to expected circuit delivery dates.
Drive partner carriers to deliver circuits ahead of schedule when possible, allowing Comcast Global to meet or beat customer expectations.
Provide network planning support for future network buildouts, network optimization and access planning activities.
Collaborate with Sales and Management on diversity projects, addressing concerns related to existing or future installs requiring carrier research
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
