Job DescriptionJob Description What is the position?
The Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for supporting projects related to meter stations and interconnects. This position will assist with themaintenance, functionality, and designs of equipment, mechanical products, systems, and processes in gas plant and pipeline projects.
What will you do?
As anInstrumentation Engineer, you will:
Design instrument datasheets, input & output lists, instrument location plans, network diagrams, etc.
Adhere to all environmental and safety guidelines, as well as QA processes.
Specify PLCs, SCADA, and RTUs as needed.
Conductsite visits to amass data necessary for predefined deliverables.
Executeelectrical systems analyses and formulateAC & DC systems, grounding sketches,wiring diagrams,one-line schematic diagrams, electrical area classification drawings,and lighting plans.
Collaborate with clients and project teamsto establish and carry out deliverables.
Carry out various calculations such as forsizing cables, short circuits, voltage drop, conduit sizing & capacity, etc.
Collaborate with clients and vendors to gather necessary information for timely design deliverables.
What are the requirements?
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET accredited)
FE examcompletion
5+ years of engineering experience in energy industry
Professional Engineer registration preferred
Power & automation experience
Electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering experience
Experiencewith SCADAPack PLCs
Familiarity withstandards/codes such as AGA, IEEE, API, NEC, PIP ISO, & NFPA.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team player and detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
