Blue Danube Productions, an audio/visual event production company, is seeking a Venue Sales Manager to join our team! The Venue Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships with our preferred venues and with prospective clients who contact us through our preferred venues. This position entails relationship-based selling, maintaining venue relationships, and the ability to creatively design the technology needed for the client's event experience. Technical audio/visual prowess is highly valued for this position.
Blue Danube Productions offers a hybrid work arrangement, with 2 days per week required in our south Seattle office.
Key Responsibilities of the Venue Sales Manager:
Consultative Selling & Account Management: Responsible for achieving sales goals through establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing venues and potential clients; demonstrating sound customer service, communication, reasoning, and relationship management skills.
Prepare and present clear, compelling and persuasive sales using branded presentations that demonstrate Blue Danube's value proposition and core competencies to our customers.
Coordinate with operations and production management to determine equipment, pricing and labor needs.
Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing and commitments that increase Blue Danube's revenue while maintaining margins.
Collaborate with all team members to ensure an effective account relationship exists in all stages of the sales process through event execution.
Information Management: Report on sales process activities including lead tracking, CRM usage, submission of timely bids or proposals, job modeling, maintaining organized show files.
Facilitate effective communication between Sales, Production, and Operations Departments.
Interface with financial operations to facilitate client billing. Communicate as assigned relative to project status and performance.
Identify opportunities for growth with specific customers and interface with Business Development to discuss strategy to expand customer engagement with the company.
Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
Effectively addresses and overcomes technical and business objections from prospective customers through a strategic approach that involves educating them on the value and benefits of our services.
Highlights key selling features, provides accurate price quotations, and crafts comprehensive event proposals to effectively meet the needs and expectations of clients.
Builds and maintains customers relationships.
Effective time management and the ability to turn quotes around promptly and respond to clients in a timely manner.
What the successful Venue Sales Manager will have: Technical knowledge of Audio/Visual Event Technology
Proven sales track record - at least 3 years
Event production experience
Office 365 proficiency
Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour plus commission
