Overview

We seek to add an experienced, motivated attorney to our Legal Operations team supporting the company by handling a wide variety of litigation and operational matters across all business units and platforms.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Review, negotiate, draft and revise contracts on a high-volume, short turnaround basis (including short-term leases, NDA’s, advertising, and technology related agreements). Respond to questions regarding interpretation and negotiations that arise from contracts.
Translate complex legal issues to business partners and provide a balanced and practical approach to legal drafting and problem solving.
Anticipate and guard against legal risks to the Company.
Immediate client interaction, candidate should be able to excel in a fast-paced environment handling a wide variety of complex legal matters
Assist Senior Staff Attorney with: Intellectual Property (including preliminary searches); Public Relations/ advertising content review; Privacy, compliance, and cybersecurity matters.
Create practical and effective solutions to legal issues with or without established precedent and develop creative solutions to unique legal problems.
Establish a wide network of relationships; build rapport with associates at all levels within the office of General Counsel.
May train or mentor less experienced attorneys or paralegals on procedural or legal issues.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and member in good standing of at least one US State Bar
5+ years of relevant experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills, including clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, negotiating skills, and strong legal drafting abilities
Strong desire to learn the business and to function integrally as part of an interdisciplinary team
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Creative, flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, and a can-do, no job is too small, team player attitude
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to travel if needed (de minimis)
