We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our fast-paced Engineering team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique chance to work on diverse projects, ranging from small-scale residential to large-scale commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, project management, budgeting, and construction management. If you are a passionate individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a knack for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, this might be the role for you!
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical construction projects from inception to completion.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to create effective and efficient project plans.
Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Manage and mitigate project risks, and ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are met.
Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
Foster relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and team members to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or similar role in the Engineering industry.
Proficient knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD.
Advanced project management and team leadership abilities.
Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and solve issues.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
Strong client-facing and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
