Current Need:
The Sr. Solution Architect & Data Analyst will be responsible for implementing and managing the overall data architecture and developing advanced data analytics tools to facilitate GPO Team complex business functions.
This role will support McKesson GPO Analytics processes and will provide insights on topics such as:
ETL Data processing using SAP BW and Snowflake
Creating data model/data mart based on complex business requirements
Enhancing and maintaining existing in-house data processing web portal (ASP .NET, CSS, JavaScript)
Transforming raw data into actionable insights and providing strategic recommendations
Supporting analytics team BI development (Tableau and/or similar tool)
Other analytical support including ad-hoc reporting, data extracts on demand, etc.
This is a heavy remote role within commuting distance and ability to go into either The Woodlands, TX or Irving, TX offices as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop advanced SQL Scripts to facilitate business functions.
Maintain and enhance existing data model processes and BI data extracts.
Collaborate with other teams for data acquisition.
Coordinate system development with IT to enhance automation and visibility.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and define the organization's data strategy. This involves identifying data requirements, establishing data governance policies, and defining data standards and best practices.
Design data schemas, data flows, and data integration patterns to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility.
Oversee the implementation of data modeling, database optimization and Servers maintenance.
Design and implement efficient and scalable data integration processes, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. This involves understanding data sources, defining data mappings and transformations, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with data analysts to define data requirements for analytics and reporting purposes. This includes designing data marts to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
Evaluate and recommend data effective management technologies, tools, and platforms that best fit the organization's needs. This involves staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data management and analytics.
Create visually appealing and informative reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide actionable recommendations and strategic insights to support business planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst and/or Solution Architect.
Critical Skills:
Projects with related skills such as programming, Advanced SQL, Reporting, etc.
Comfortable working with complex SQL Script
Must have experience in some programming languages (such as Python, C#, etc.) and SQL
Experience with Database Management Systems
Quick learner and ability to work independently
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated proficiency analyzing and manipulating large data sets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of Tableau
Familiarity with machine learning and AI algorithms and their applications is a plus

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
