Overview:
Connection has a fantastic opportunity for a IT Infrastructure Analyst working for an electric power and natural gas holding company in Charlotte, NC. This is a full time direct hire opportunity offering excellent benefits, including 3 weeks PTO, 401K, Floating Holidays, etc.
The IT Infrastructure Analyst provides enterprise level support of technologies needed for infrastructure and business applications. Extensive knowledge of Data Center environment is key to success for this role. Daily responsibilities will include installation of IT Infrastructure and cabling for multiple data center sites. Collaboration with various teams across the IT Organization in relation to various projects. General understanding of Mechanical and Electrical infrastructure within data center space is required. Position will routinely interact with Facilities Maintenance Teams to coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance

Perform equipment and cabling installation and removal inside multiple data center sites
Hardware HPE/DELL/CISCO & Cabling installation Copper CAT6/Fiber Optic Single Mode/Multi-Mode
Adhere to safety standards outlined while performing work within enterprise data center locations
Adhere to established cabling/labeling standards
Work closely with customers across IT Organization to respond and troubleshoot various reported issues
Escort and monitor the work of third-party contractors and sub-contractors to ensure they remain in compliance with the site standards while performing maintenance or relevant activities
Maintains inventory of parts and supplies for equipment and cabling - Orders materials as needed
Ensuring accuracy of rack elevations and equipment inventories with DCIM Tool
Basic understanding of Data Center Electrical and Mechanical Infrastructure
Work closely with Facilities Maintenance Team to understand risk/impact for preventative maintenance activities
Confirm scheduling of FM work to minimize any operational risk
Knowledge & understanding of compliance guidelines to perform IT support role within NERC CIP environment
Plans, designs, installs and/or supports computer systems. Facilitates technical and business planning for upgrades. Provides technical guidance related to software and hardware to members of the IT staff.
Develops (or assists in developing) standards for IT software and hardware. Assists in the design and implementation of required systems.
Coordinates hardware and software upgrades with other areas of IT or other business units.
Prepares activity and progress reports regarding individual and project activity.
Keeps abreast of new hardware and software developments, evaluates alternative approaches

USD $27.88/Hr.
Max:
USD $35.37/Hr.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other related degree
Desired Qualifications
CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+
Ability to thoroughly document work processes, communicate, and adhere to processes.
